So far, this has been a lot of fun! Running my tiny supermarket isn't as bad as many YouTube gameplay videos suggest, lol.

I started with the basics: buying and selling food. In the beginning, I think I could only afford flour and bread to sell, but I managed to make it work. It was fun to gradually start purchasing more food. Eventually, I was selling eggs, cheese, milk, and cereal—more of the basics, lol.

By the end of my first playthrough, I had expanded my store and moved the shelves and refrigerators I bought around the store. I had many customers coming and going. I was really surprised at how well I kept up with the game's pacing, especially since I can be a bit clumsy with a mouse and arrow keys.

The great thing about the game is that, as I played, I could see what each key did on the side. There might have been a way to turn that off or move it to hide, but I wasn’t focused on figuring that out at the moment, lol.

I was hoping storage would be open like it was at the beginning, as I saw in GameGrumps videos. But with the awesome GameGrumps, they play a lot, and I think they might have used mods to level up more, which I’d love to see or try. I play mods in The Sims 4, so I'd love to learn how Supermarket Simulator gets modded if anyone knows.

Overall, I think I played for about four or five hours. I really enjoyed the game lol. I'm not a big jokester, so I didn't crack any jokes at the NPCs. But the blonde NPC looked like Katy Perry, and a Black NPC with glasses reminded me of a mix between Malcolm X and someone I know, lol… forgive me.

A woman in a floral dress holding money at a supermarket checkout. A man in a striped shirt is behind her. Cash register screen and shelves visible. The writer's streaming camera view is off.

It’s the suits and fancy outfits everywhere. Why do all of the NPCs wear suits, ties, heels, and dresses?!? Lol, there’s nothing wrong with that as daily fashion… in fact, I love a good "uniform-style” look or wardrobe capsule. It looks very professional and classy. But for NPCs walking around, shopping, and living in a suburban neighborhood or town, it would be more realistic if they wore more streetwear and casual clothing. That would make it feel more real. (If you didn't know, I do like a bit of realism in my gameplay. You should hear the ideas and scenarios I’d love to try in The Sims 4! Is there a way to mod that? Lol.)

Have you all played Supermarket Simulator? Or do you, like me, enjoy watching others play games like it? Let me know your thoughts! I give Supermarket Simulator a fun 10 out of 10! It's a cozy, fun game to play and get lost in. I listened to music from my Spotify while I played, and I loved it! It made me think about getting a speaker for my store next time I play, so I hope to earn enough money for that. I love supermarkets or grocery stores that play background music while you shop — it really adds to the experience. If not, it's like Aldi or Stracks… which isn't a bad thing either, lol. It just makes you want to leave and go somewhere else. But not at my supermarket. We’ll have music playing while you shop, making the experience even more enjoyable.

I hope to play again soon! See you then! Check out my website, YouTube, or Twitch for the full, unedited playthrough and tell me what you think!
